Elias just just wondering how quickly this came together for you no obviously as soon as Boston came into the picture it was you know it was was an easy decision for me uh you know joining this uh organization and and original six and so much history and so many good players on the team and and obviously looking at their playoff series against Florida you know they’re pretty much right there so I mean it it was was exciting to to have the opportunity to to join this uh ation your name was mentioned in many uh rumors around the trade deadline were you aware of that yeah yeah I mean these days it’s it’s kind of hard to not know it is but uh you know at the meantime you just try to F stay focused and and you know try to focus on your game and and try to help the team so yeah it was kind of hard to to not notice we’ll go next to Steve hi Elias welcome uh just what was last year like for you was it unsettling you know you’re being traded in the middle of the Season not knowing what your your permanent home is going to be I mean did that affect your your performance at all do you think um yeah yeah um obviously definitely did you know U going into a season like that and you know kind of Uncertain what what’s going to happen and then you kind of know after a little bit that you know you’re gonna get traded but you don’t know when or where and so on so I mean it’s uh it definitely affected me uh more than I was hoping but um I’m glad now that that time is is over and and you know you know now I know for for a long time where I’m going to be and and uh so on so it’s uh it’s exciting and do you know uh your namesake here campus well I know I’m uh yeah yeah we met the play national team and so on so uh yeah we know each other yeah did he make a pitch um he uh sent me a text yeah so yeah he he made a little pitch yeah thanks thank you yeah go to Dan Roach Elias welcome uh to Boston could you tell us a little bit about how this how quickly this came about and what do you think you could bring how good of a match do you think you and the Boston Bruins are uh yeah first of all thank you uh yeah I think obviously you know like I said it’s uh as soon as Boston came in it was uh it was exciting and and uh me and my family were were pumped and and uh yeah I think it’s a good fit um honestly um you know uh playing in the league for for a long time and and kind of try to look at verg on as as much as possible I don’t want to compare myself or anything like that but uh you know I think uh I can bring a little bit of what he did and and U obviously try to you know come there and um bring my game and and come back to kind of the player I know I can be and and hopefully help this team to achieve a Stanley Cup and what goes through your mind when you hear the words Boston Bruins uh you know obviously a lot of history u a lot of great players has has been there heard a lot about City and and you know players and and families that love being there and being a brewing and and so on so it’s uh obviously we’re super excited and and uh you know just can’t wait to to get going and and yeah we’re thrilled go to Scott mlin hey Elias uh obviously you know we don’t know the lines yet but the potential of playing alongside David poo on a line uh how appealing was that yeah I mean he he’s is one of the top players in the league and yeah we’ll see what’s going to happen but uh you know you know if if uh there’s an opportunity to play with him it’s uh it’ll be exciting um you know he’s uh he’s one of the special players in the league that U um you know know how to you know put the puck in the net and and set up players and and you know he’s uh so if if that’s the case it’s it’s exciting but uh for now I haven’t even thought about anything like that it’s just uh uh you know just excited to to be a part of this organization and and uh you know can’t wait to to come over and and uh settle in a little bit mour you mentioned did uh that hampus had reached out to you did any other players or anybody else kind reach out to you to kind of sell you on it um yeah yeah I think uh there was uh I know just text tamps a little bit and then um texted with marshan a little bit but U other than that it was uh you know it was uh that was about it so uh no it was uh it was good I think like I said it was as soon as Boston came into the picture it was it was an easy decision for me and and um um yeah we’re we’re me and my family are super excited to to be part of this yeah go ahead welcome to Boston Elias um my question is for you is the players that you’ve battled against um with the Bruins who are you looking forward to not battling with and becoming a teammate now with probably M I think he he has um hit me a couple times pretty hard so it’s uh it’s good to be on the same side so probably him Chris Ryan hey welcome to uh to Boston um what’s your sense about how good this team is and how do you hope to kind of compliment what they already have with your skill set yeah thank you so much for for that and yeah I mean obviously you know watching them in the playoffs I think uh you know they were kind of right there um you know gave Florida a pretty good match and and uh so I think uh they have a lot of good players obviously um go goalie um good D and uh so I mean I feel like all the pieces are right there I think uh for myself it’s um just to to come in and and play my game and and uh uh you know try to help this team improve and and take that next step to achieve uh whatever I wants to achieve Andrew hey Elias welcome to Boston you know you and aita have kind of follow each other around the last few years and uh Calgary Vancouver how exciting is it for you to come here with him and what does he bring to a Bruins team yeah yeah I mean uh it’s been we’ve been following each other like you said and and um yeah it’s exciting obviously coming to a new team like this and and U you know everything is is so new and so it’s always nice to to have another guy that you know you’ve been around and and know kind of well and so on so I mean you know for him it’s uh you know I think I think obviously the way ended the season there in Vancouver he can bring a bring a bring or yeah he can bring a lot and and obviously you know just knowing his presence his big body and so on out there it’s it’s um as a opposition team you always need to be aware and and so on so it’s uh you know he’s he’s a really good fit for us we’ll take our last question from Kevin Dupont Elias I imagined you know between Carolina Calgary maybe van you you’ve been to Boston maybe 10 or 12 times as a player in during your career I’m just wondering what Impressions did the city make on you do you have any connection here other than those sort of quick ins and outs and and what’s it like now coming to a new home uh yeah honestly I feel like every time I’ve been there it’s uh it’s been kind of in and out so I haven’t never really got to know the say or seen enough but um you know knowing a lot of players in the league and and U obviously my good friend yoim Nordstrom uh spent the two seasons there so been talking to him a little bit and and you know I feel like everyone is talking so well about everything there so it’s it was a lot of things that uh kind of fit the puzzle there for us and and uh we excited to you know join U join the organization and and the City of Boston and and like I said there’s there’s a I don’t think I’ve heard a bad thing about uh anything there uh so we’re uh we’re pumped
