Alexander Holtz and Akira Schmid have been traded from the New Jersey Devils to the Vegas Golden Knights for Paul Cotter and a 2025 3rd round draft pick. This has left many Devils fans upset, because the addition of Holtz in this deal means losing a young and incredibly talented scoring winger who had promise to take a leap under the new head coach Sheldon Keefe. In today’s video, I want to highlight the shortsightedness of this trade and unpack why moving on from Holtz this early could be such a mistake for New Jersey and why I believe he will break out in Vegas.

Imo I think this trade is gonna end horribly for the Devils by trading Alexander Holtz; I think Holtz could potentially find his potential with the Golden Knight and he's still young and tons of move to grow
Great video man. The holtz haters are gonna feel pretty dumb when he's scoring like crazy for Vegas. He hasn't even hit his prime yet.it was too soon to trade him. At least give him a chance to increase his trade value. Horrible asset management.
