New York Rangers so far have decided not to spend big in free agency and opted to go into the trade market to acquire a good veteran winger from the Pittsburgh Penguins Reilly Smith. He is a phenomenal playoff performer and will provide some good scoring at even strength which was a need.

Good to finally see a NYR YouTube channel not calling for a public execution after Free Agency. I personally like the this trade, and what management has done so far. We shouldn't be over spending and making moves without tearing down the team. Need to be mindful of the locker room also given the negative press from how certain things are / have been handled
