I really like Kane in a RW uniform, but paying substantial amounts for a 35+ year old with a ticking time bomb hip is a bit too risky for anything over 4 for 2.

Can’t imagine he’d have any interest in Montreal considering reports that he wants to go to a team that’s likely to be a playoff contender. Plus the whole idea of playing in Canada doesn’t seem to be up Kane’s alley. I still think he re-signs in Detroit and term is all that needs to be wrinkled out.

No way he goes to the Habs seems like a way to get his AAV higher. He’s going to at least a playoff contender and Habs aren’t one imo
