That game 7, to me, was a flashback to the 09 Final game 7. What a cheek clenching final 10 minutes man.
Eh. I'm not going to go into a long diatribe about it, but in my opinion McDavid winning the Conn Smythe was a mistake by the voting media members trying to force a narrative. I think even he knew he didn't deserve it. It is what it is though. Looking forward, it will be interesting to see if the Pens can manage any good moves during the draft/free agency without massively overpaying, as is free agency tradition.
Honestly from his press conference today it sounds like Dubas isn't gonna do much this summer, unless he's flat out lying. He said he's not interested in salary dumps or long term free agents. So based on that I'm expecting a bunch of cheap one year deals on a bunch of fringe players again lol.
Watched some more alfons freij highlights. The kid is a great puckhandler and mover. As far as nikita artamanov goes, don't know a lot about him. Russian prospects have very little highlights and videos to watch them. It's hard to know how good they are other then what you hear about them. I am glad the pens have started drafting russian prospects again. After they drafted malkin, it seemed like forever before they drafted another russian prospect. Now 3 in the last 3 drafts
