  2. – The Caps are still a playoff team, but their days as a President's Trophy-winning team are probably over. Maybe that's a good thing for them. THREE times in the past 7 seasons the Caps finished 1st overall & all 3 years they went out early in the playoffs. They're probably better off as a middle-of-the-pack team that battles their way into the playoffs & makes it a bit harder for a higher-seeded team in the opening round. Anyway you look at it, the Caps are continuously blowing their opportunities to get to a Stanley Cup Final let alone win one….they don't soon watch it, the Caps will be sliding further downward in the standings before they even know it.

  3. Nothing makes me laugh more than that meme of ovechkin holding a golf bag over his head like the Stanley Cup. I'm sorry, caps fans, but you're gonna have to prepare for another 2nd round exit to the bane of your existence- the penguins. If I mention the rangers, islanders, and penguins, half of the caps fans in the chat will get ptsd. Old habits die hard, have fun on the golf course, ovi πŸ™‚
