Arpon's love for Silayev is so funny to me
Silayev , Helenius, buium , Eiserman should be the targets . Not sure why Helenius isn’t more popular? He’s the most complete player in the draft, he has tons of takeaways , outstanding on faceoff and his stats in Liiga are on another level for a player his age .
Helenius is and will be a far better player than Lindstrom or Iginla , Helenius will be the steal of the 2024 draft , that guy reminds me of datsyuk
Curious, why Demidov 2nd or 3rd choice & not # 1?
Montreal will not risk a 5th overall on Lindstrom and his back . They can’t afford to,
My DO NOT picks. 1. Silyaev 2.Yakemchuk. 3. Lindstrom 4. Parekh 5. Iginla. Picks I be happy with. Demidov, Buiuum, Sennecke, Dickenson, Catton. In the case of Catton, you can likely trade down to 10 and get him. I see Silyaev as a more mobile version of Hall Gill. Yakemchuk…yark. Lindstrom = Keith Primeau. Do not except a Eric Lindros, not even close to a Byfield. Nowhere near the skill level. I see Lindstrom as the most overrated player in the draft. If you think of some of the biggest busts of the early 1st round…very often the tall big guy that gets chosen because of his size. Think Michael Dal Colle. 5th overall in 2014. 6'3, had no business being in the 1st round. Where would Lindstrom be ranked if he was 6'0? Those 3 inches shouldn't take you from a late 1st round talent to top 3-5. We are talking about a potential 50-60 pt guy. Parekh is a big gamble. Very low floor.
Good job guys
This shoul;d not be hard. Get an offensive talent. If Demidov is not available, then take Catton.
Silayev played on the right side most of last season.🤔
The team (CH)ad to consider what they have on the roaster
no deffenmen
3way Trade with Nashville and New Jersey.
I think the Habs will take iginla no matter what. Guy has an elite shot and a great attitude. I think they’ll look to his effort and attitude on top of his shot and hard down low play….might not be popular but I think he projects nice to a 30 goal power winger in the nhl, with a great attitude and heart.
What is the hype around Levshunov? When I watch highlights of him he looks sloppy, slow and poor IQ hockey sense compare to Buium who is my #1 D on this draft. Buium has won it all at only 18 years old. Buium hockey sense is off the roof, the way he sees opening and teamates on the ice, his passing in very tight place and under pressure, stick handling, passing and scoring touch. The kid has it all. A big no brainer for me as #1 defenceman.
I wouldnt risk that pick on Lindstrom… Please dont
Im Demidov, Levshunov, Buium, Silayev, Iginla
Becket sennecke is not a top 10 draft prospect he barely went point per game.Iginla also he’s a fringe top 15. And his draft stock is so high because his last name
If Demidov, Lidstrom, Leshunov, are gone at 5, take Silayev or Igonla. Try trade a package deal with our 26th and couple good Dman prospect (we can unload some at that point) for either a second pick top 10 in this draft or an established offensive player.
Im strong on Silayev. You can't train height! 6'7" that can skate, strong on the puck, reliable shut down dman with a shot that can only get better. I have vivid memories of Chara wingspan and how effective it was and who don’t remember Hall Gill days with Montreal. He made plays difficult for offensive players as well.
Silayev will help Montembeault save percentage!
Can't believe they will discard Catton, a future Joe Sakic.
If they take Sennecke 😂
1. Celebrini
2. Buium
3. Lindstrom
4. Catton
5. Demidov / Levshunov Tie
6. Silayev
