Here’s a post about it

Eric Beaudry, a Sudbury native born and raised, has a passion for hockey that was ignited at a young age. But it wasn't until he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 16 that he truly found his purpose. Despite the challenges he faced, Eric's love for hockey only grew stronger, inspired by NHL player Max Domi, who also lives with type 1 diabetes.

As the number one fan of the Sudbury Wolves and Team Canada at the World Juniors, Eric has traveled to countless games, from Toronto to Montreal, Buffalo to Ostrava, Gothenburg to Ottawa. But Eric's dedication goes beyond just attending games. He recently completed a brand-new, fully renovated basement dedicated to his beloved teams – the "Beaudry Hockey Den".

This labor of love is filled with jersey-clad walls, autographed sticks, and pucks galore. Eric's basement is a testament to his unwavering passion, and he can't wait to share it with the world. With the Edmonton Oilers pushing for a Game 7, Eric hopes to be featured on the NHL Network, TSN, and Sportsnet, sharing his story with sportsters across Canada and the USA.

Eric's journey is one of inspiration, showing that with determination and hard work, anything is possible. He hopes to inspire others living with type 1 diabetes and to show the world that hockey is more than just a game – it's a community, a family. The Beaudry Hockey Den is now open for visitors! Eric extends an open invitation to past, present, and future OHL and NHL players to visit the den, share in the passion, and celebrate the beauty of the game.

Join Eric in his den, where the love of hockey comes alive! He hopes to share his story and his den with the world, and to create a space where players and fans can come together to cherish the love of the game, just like his fellow Sudbury natives Tessa Bonhomme, Andrew Raycroft, Todd Bertuzzi, Derek McKenzie, and the legendary Joe Bowen.

I melted seeing Gretzky and Lemieux’s Canada Cup jerseys side-by-side.

  16. gargamelul

I thought the notion of fans of Canadian hockey was kind of misguided, and most people have their team and dislike the other teams. But this guy loves Canadian hockey

Now open for visitors! If you happen to be an NHLer or OHLer, that is.

My home is open for visitors… if you happen to be a supermodel.
