Last of the triumvirate of hockey news posts- Canes received “concrete offers” for Necas as of this afternoon. Nothing we would say yes to. CHI believed to be in the running.

only possible deal that POSSIBLY makes sense is Nikolaj Ehlers, which seems like quite the lateral move. would rather us hold onto Necas and give him a 1 year bridge deal to make the contract work next year unless somehow there’s an upgrade to be made via trade. i have no idea how CHI is still in the running unless Kurashev+ is able to come back to us

The tweet doesn’t mention Chicago at all.

I mean if they really believe he become a star next to Bedard are they willing to give up the number 2 pick? That’s theoretically an answer for Carolina as they would get a “star” back in Leshunov or Demidov

Why would we give up Necas for some concrete? Rough first look for Tulsky

So just for kicks, and since it’s June and there are no sports to watch, I decided to compare 2 players a little more in depth than I had previously.

*Player A, 5 years into NHL career*
    336 games, 30 goals in a season twice, .643 points per game, 30 PPG’s, 168 PIM, 10.3 shooting %, and a 43.5 FO win % in 17:24 per game of ice time.

*Player B, 5 years into NHL career*
    354 games, no 30 goal seasons (28 peak), .681 points per game, 28 PPG’s, 136 PIM, 12.28 shooting %, and a 39.5 FO win % in 16:40 per game of ice time.

Those players are far more similar than I’d have guessed. Anyone want to guess who these mystery men are?
