Thats why I am usually defending the refs … its a very fast game and things can be missed. But there are perceptions of bias because of the inconsistency, or blatant optics. But the NHL has made it clear, even with slow motion replay, the NHL still doesnt say anything about 2 infractions that happened within a second of each other by the same guy. "nothing to see here"

Hooks draisaitls foot, which is a trip, but the play was very fast so hard to see
Would be hard to see in the moment. Your attention is on the hit first. "Is it clean? OK, now where's the puck? Oh, wait. What happened there?"
Easy to miss from the ref's POV.
No matter what team #19 is a garbage player and does not deserve to win a cup. Bennett is a better player at least.
Easy to miss both calls from this angle. The ref was just in front of the play by 30 feet, so the trip should have been pretty obvious.
