Sorry Kenny. There's absolutely no way the Jets are gonna let Ehlers play out next season and walk for nothing. TNSE doesn't roll that way with their top players.
Either he'll be traded this summer or during next season. My guess is it'll be this summer.
The thing is Kenny you ain’t winning with monahan and signing him to 4 years would be absolutely ridiculous! Not a top flight 2nd line centre by any stretch. Yes he does good things( faceoffs bumper etc) he’s also slow and you can’t keep handing out long contracts to guys in their 30’s. best hockey is behind him and it keeps players from playing their natural position( see lambert)
