Charlie Coyle got his stick up between the legs of Aaron Ekblad. There was no call on the play, but I guarantee you if there was it would be called a slash. Should there be some sort of middle ground penalty between a slash and a spear that accounts for driving the shaft of your stick upward like this? Have your say!

Suspension for sure! What could his excuse be besides being a terrible human…cup checks like that should be penalized by letting the victim have a wack at the offender, nut for a nut leaves the whole world thoughtful… might end that crap…

I think the slashing rule should include the text that any intentional slash to the groin is a major + game misconduct. The IIHF rule book had this but they have removed that text.

It is legal there. Stanley cup games do not have certain rules. Everything is just up to sebras.
