That panther player fake his injury
Such a class act this is why a Canadian team hasn’t won a cup and God knows how many years because they suck and they got a cheat in order to get any kind of momentum going the Panthers clearly outlast the Oilers. They should just give up while they’re ahead.

Saw this happen to Adam Fox in the first round… no 5 minute major… no game misconduct. Just a two minute penalty. Fox was never the same the rest of the playoffs.

They should restrict casual fighting in the first place
After watching it a bunch of times. Do not think there was malice when lining up that hit. Florida player made a quick move which exposed his knee, Oiler player was already committed. No charging, high sticking or any other shenanigans. Not sure there should have been a penalty. I can already feel the burn from that comment. No bias here, just watching hockey. McDavid is busting his ass but cannot say that for some of the other guys. Hyman and Dresaitl were not as good as they need to be. Need all guns firing. Florida is a machine right now and Oilers have to have everyone firing on all cylinders or they are going to get swept. Nugent-Hopkins needs to hit the net, he is working hard for his chances but is holding his stick a little too tight. See how Oilers hit the ice at home.
Looked intentional to me. Rooting for the oilers but that doesnt deserve to be in the game at all from anyone.

If you pause the video right at the point of contact you'll see the panthers player stepping out of the way of the check exposing his leg. This is pretty standard incidental contact in hockey. Foegles legs are together and he is in the midst of extending his upper body for a check. This is poor officiating.
That should never have been a major penalty. Complete accident on both sides. Should be a no call they both ran into each other at the same time. Anyone saying this was intentional you don't know how fast that actually happened and how you would react running head first into someone. He moved his leg to try to avoid him and ended up making it worse. Zero intent for injury.

It’s okay. I knew Florida was winning the cup after the series with Boston when Bennet got away with murder on Swayman…… then they royally fxd over the rangers and now they are going to win the cup. This is a 4 game, series. It's like an NHL team playing an OHL team.
He deserved the penalty no doubt, but common he played it up too, laying on the ice looking up to see if he should get up or play it off a little longer. Totally deserved the penalty but let’s be real.

That’s not a penalty. Foegele is squared up delivering a hit. His leg is not sticking out at all. Luostarinen tries to avoid a hit and leaves his leg hanging instead of just taking the hit. Oilers guy did everything by the book. Look how aligned his leg is with his shoulders. That’s bullshit.
He’s not that kind of player, at all. Totally 💯 % unintentional. But yes a penalty.
