The National Hockey League combine has come and gone, and some San Jose Sharks news and notes have started to trickle out. Start with presumed number one pick Macklin Celebrini, being mum on turning pro, and the thought of sending him back to school for another season. Then, discuss other tidbits from the combine, including EJ Emery’s athleticism, which might move him out of the Shark’s range. Then, Mike Grier seems to be narrowing in on his coaching decision and analyzing the merits of Ryan Warsofsky and Marco Sturm and why either makes sense for the Sharks in their rebuild. 26:40 The buyout window starts the later of the 15th or 48 hours after the Stanley Cup is awarded. If the Panthers sweep it'd start the 17th but it could be as late as the 26th if the series goes seven games. I guess technically it could be later if the series goes seven games and game seven lasts several overtimes as well.
What is the deal with your shirt? Is it some really supportive pride thing? Might explain why your eyes roll back every 5 seconds. Can't tell for sure.
Just wanted to point out that, for all intents and purposes, the body fat measurements at the combine should basically be ignored. They use a Yuhasz equation to calculate it, which means they do skinfold measurements with calipers, which is known to often be wildly inaccurate compared to other methods. EJ Emery's (and Sam Dickinson's) listed % body fat measurement from the combine is 3.64% which is practically impossible. Bodybuilders/physique athletes right at competition time are some of the most, if not the most, lean people on the planet; and not only do they go to intense and very specific lengths just to get their body fat % down into the mid-to-high single digits, but they only sustain that for a super brief period of time given that it's very unhealthy. No shot EJ Emery has a lower body fat % than Chris Bumstead the day of the Olympia.
