  1. Kuz wouldn’t have done anything under tocchet. Lindholm has been great this playoffs and I’m very happy with the trade

  2. Lindholm was an overpay, and they did get fleeced. I'm not sure at all he'd be doing that well without his linemates. He's barely noticeable, and on the third line at that (his linemates sure are noticeable) and is losing mass face-offs. Something that was supposed to be his specialty.
What he is doing, that mitigates all that, is he doesn't panic. No panic means timely goals. Timely playoff goals.
If they win the cup, the rental was worth it.

  3. Round 1 four games in: 2 goals 1 A. All of his pts were turning points for the game. His 1st goal was to set the initial run of the first game, huge momentum swing. His forecheck that led to Joshua’s goal which was 12 seconds after they have scored the tying goal to take the lead. His pass to Boeser to get within a goal in game 4. Then we all know, his OT winning goal. He is very smart and matured player. Definitely need him for this post season run.

  4. Overpay? There’s no way Kuzmenko would see the same ice time or be deployed in the same situations as Lindholm has been

  5. It was a bit of an overpay. That being said canucks are usually overpaying while not even making the playoffs, so ill take it

  6. Lindholm has turned it on since the end of March. He has 4G-4A — 8 Points in his last 10 games (Reg. Season + Playoffs) and is playing fantastic defensively and on faceoffs. Honestly, I think him resting up his end of season injury has done him wonders, because he looks like the player from Calgary a couple years ago.

  7. I believe contenders do need to “overpay” to get the assets they need, but how they do in the playoffs determines how much of an overpay it truly was

  8. On a different topic it’s unbelievable there’s been only 2 OT games in this year’s playoffs. I’ll bet there’s never been so few this many games in.

  9. This is definitely a win win Lindholm wasnt 100% whej we got him know u can tell his speed grittyness and dont quit attitude was worth the prospects and first

  10. STILL way over pay IMO. If Lindholm keeps scoring big goals in the playoffs and we aren't eliminated soon, then maybe it was an OK trade… but I'd still rather have Kuzy and my draft picks back

  11. I am honestly surprised that not more hockey people have been covering the Canucks. Before the season expected to finish near the bottom or last in the season to the playoffs. It's like everyone is sleeping on them.

  12. Lindholm was always good when he arrived in Vancouver, in the faceoffs and defensively. Points wasn’t there, but now how he’s playing in the playoffs is making this trade look worth it.

  13. People think that points are the only thing that matters. No, Lindys Defensive game and faceoff winning were the main reason we brought him in, sure the points are a good bonus from him, but where he shines is the defensive game and how good he is in the dot, especially in the d zone.

  14. I was definitely losing out hope for the regular season but we all know this is when it matters to rise up. The line of Lindholm, Garland and Joshua have been clutch for us.

Game one, Lindholm gets the puck on a great forecheck and Garland delivered silky passes on both the 3-2 goal in GM1 and the OT goal in GM4

  15. I don't think I've ever heard a funnier joke than "the Flames won that trade" 🤣🤣

  16. The guy is walking away and that alone makes it an overpayment. I don't care what he does in playoffs. We're not getting far with Pettersson playing like crap. Lindholm refused 8 mill with Calgary at almost 30 of age. Basically we gave away kuzmenko, 1st pick, defensive prospect, another prospect and the 4th. Massive overpayment which with Patterson signing , possible hronek ( marshmallow) overpayment will come back to hunt us. Serves the management right for pressuring Bambi into signing the contract. Could've had him for millions less, trade him or give him qualifying offer. He wasn't going anywhere. Same as Lindholm, gave too much for a few months of renting the same. People are still fooled to believe that we can achieve to win the cup. That 4th game was the worst game I've ever seen from Canucks. Hughes was hit constantly, we couldn't do anything without him entering the o zone. That game alone was a proof that without Hughes at his best we're just helpless. Hat off for not surrendering and pulling an impossible. The management in opinion rushed thinking they can win the cup in one year after sucking for 10 and more years. They just want money, charging $2000 and more for one freeking ticket. The owner doesn't care about the cup.

  17. Not only that, Lindholm's 2-way game is way better than Kuzy. As a Canucks fan, we all love Kuzy, but the 200 foot game goes to Lindholm every day. He finished 15-5 in the face off circle as well.

  18. I'm a canucks fan, was all in since the 90's as a kid, 2011 ruined it for me quite a bit and when they blew it up I knew I'd have to wait, after last year's shit I was so ambivalent I couldn't care less…now, I still haven't watched a full game, just bits and pieces maybe, and wouldn't you know it? They're probably going to go hella deep, what a shocker…

  19. I see smoke and mirrors. Connor is a great goalie, but he’s not great under pressure, this is twice in a row now. The Jets’ defense is good but they can’t stop the juggernauts of the Avs or Golden Knights. Maybe some defensive restructuring is in order, they definitely scored enough goals to win most games

  20. Bro stop getting your hockey iq from looking at goals and assists…. and ACTUALLY WATCH HIM PLAY!!!! for a FULL game.

He's one of their top 3 players. he's doi g everyrhing right. The scoring will follow automatically if he continues to do these things. worth every penny. Vancouver won this trade by a landslide!!!

  21. Canucks have been terrible 5 on 5. The top paid guys have been garbage throughout these playoffs. Do something 5 on 5 and not on a PP or have an extra man

  22. This entire video rides on the distinct possibility of them being ousted in the 1st round. Remember, NSH had a 3-1 lead they pissed away to lose game 4. That series "should" have been 2-2 at that time, but it's now, 3-2 VAN.

Vancouver isn't as much in control as people tend to think they are. I'm not denying credit to Vancouver for tying that game late, with little time and winning in OT. It was commendable. What I am saying though is, Nashville is more in control than the numbers appear to show right now, and they are going back home for game 6.

All things considered, NSH "should" be up 3-2 in this series, but they are not. Those are the bounces. In short, just don't expect NSH to be doing VAN any more favours like that, and to be extra keen on making sure of it.

Vancouver still has momentum, but game 6, is essentially must-win for them. A team with such little experience in playoff adversity as them, going back home to play game 7 against a veteran, and solid Nashville? Well, I don't like their chances in that showdown.

So, ya, if Vancouver pisses this series away, and Lindholm leaves in the off-season, well, all those comments about overpay, will have been correct. Too soon to tell just yet.

Edit: I should state, I'm not trying to rustle any feathers. Not trying to get a rise out of anyone with this comment. It's simply my take on it. I want Vancouver to win. We need at least 2/4 CAN teams moving on………. I hope. 🍻

  23. After last nights game Lindholm is worth every penny. Your assessment is ahead of its time. He might be the difference maker in this series
