I think Igor steals the game for New York tonight but unless New York dominates offensively it’s probably still Florida in 7. Can’t keep depending on Shesterkin, guy needs more defensive help if New York wants to beat Florida

Pretty wild how both series have gone the same way. Lower seed team wins game 1 on the road, higher seed wins the next two games, then the lower seed wins the next two games, setting up potential deciding game back on home ice for game 6.
Rooting for Florida simply because they were a team that was mocked for so long, it’s great to see them go on these long runs and establish Florida as a hockey force to be reckoned with
I predict Rangers steal this game and force a 7.
What I have learned from watching hockey: Anything can happen, and usually does.
This is the Rangers sans the power play , turns the one-goal victories to one goal losses so I think one possible early indicator will be the rangers first power play , if they somehow score on it I think there’s a great chance for a game 7, if they blow it then I think it will be close until the 3rd period .. If Florida goes up 2-0 then Florida will shut it down and wait for ranger mistakes .. and then we’ll see another debacle like the NJ finale, something the rangers have shown they are better than this year all year .

As an American Kings fan with Alberta family roots, I will be happy for the province if the Oilers win, but also bitter at the same time haha

The Analytics when McDavid or draisaitl are on the ice v the panthers for the oilers are terrible for the past few years. I belive no other team shuts down those two better than the panthers by the numbers in every metric. I don't think a rookie coach can out coach a 25 year veteran coach as well.

I can’t believe the schedule could potentially leave us with no hockey for 6 days. Tack on the fact the final wouldn’t finish until June 24 you just gotta question what the heck the schedule makers were thinking

Rangers are the Leafs, except they have an elite goalie. They completely stop trying for entire games in a row when they feel like it. Not talked about enough with them in the playoffs.
I was hoping the Bruins would take a shot at Bertuzzi and put him with Pastrenak. Problem is I don't think Sweeney thinks he is worth 5M+ which the Mapleleafs gave him last year and may do it again this year.

The Oilers could win the Stanley Cup and people will still say they are a terrible team and have terrible defence (despite having the best defensive pairing in the NHL this year statistically).
Hanging onto Bertuzzi and Domi is a symptom of what's wrong with the Leafs.

Isn't having the soon to be most expensive player in the NHL disappearing every year in the playoffs enough?
I gotta be honest here. Looking at the final 8 teams (2nd round) And especially the final 4 teams. The Leafs are not in the same league as those guys. . For JT to say : "Were close" is wishful thinking. I am so impressed with the quality and intensity of this years playoffs.
