Honestly, for Jack Adams I see zero argument for Cassidy, a small argument for Vigneault, and I see a massive argument for Torts, for me it’s a no brainer, Torts deserves it 100%, no question, also Pittsburgh didn’t have both Malkin and Crosby for like 3 games.
Sullivan should've gotten the Adams for back to back cup wins and never did.
Watching a game with empty stands won't be a problem, will be like watching a precovid game from Florida.
If any of the teams hold a player out from the one and only exhibition game then that team doesnt really deserve to win. Like nobody has played in so long let them on the ice

Ah thank you for mentioning both my coaches! Like who thought at the beginning of the year the oilers were going to be where they are now. How are you not giving Tippett credit. And especially considering it wasn’t just like, a new vibe helped. They already had a coaching change last year, and that didn’t work at all. This year the particularly the coaching staffs work on both their powerplay and penalty kill were the main reason they won most games this season.
Hell yeah shannon. Where de fuck is Sullivan! I believe Sully is the best coach in the nhl. I mean where Pittsburgh was before he took over, was not good. And after being hired in the middle of the 2015/16 season, he won two cups straight when the team looked like they wouldnt even make playoffs…both times Pittsburgh had so many injuries, and this year was a gong show for them. But like you said, they had Malkin (and guys like rust, who were their top scorers) out for the first chunk, they came back, and almost immediately they lost their captain. And that’s bigger than even just losing your star, that team follows him to battle every night and their record without him 18-6-4! Tell me a team in the league who has a star player on that level that could do that. And again, this wasn’t just Sid being out for that time. They had letang out, hornquist (essentially had no powerplay for that time) top defender dumolin, and just a whole slew of guys, including for a bit, where they were missing both guentzel as well until Sid finally came back. And if you don’t know how important guentzel is to their offence, he is. A huge part.
Sullivan and I think a combination of Crosby’s leadership as well, somehow get the best out of every single guy on that team. It’s so rare that I’ve seen them lose, because of their play. Meaning, sometimes the other team is just better. Where as I see a team like the leafs and the guys look like they play each game like they’ve flipped a coin on whether they’re gonna play that night. Every single guy on their roster, which this year was 34 players, because of injuries, did what they had to do to get the TEAM the win. And I gotta think a lot of that mind set is being sent down from the coach. They want to win for him. They want to win for Sid. And they want to win to prove it to themselves they can. They’re an amazing full team to watch. I can name every guy of those 34, because even if they were there for just a hand full of game, they made an impact. I was proud to watch them. That says something.
