Frank Corrado weighs in on if the Canucks showed enough to run it back like they were, or saw enough holes to make changes. He also weighs in on the Elias Pettersson injury announcement, and on if that was considered standard or out of the norm. Plus, Frank has heated opinions on the “beaver tail” in hockey!

Thank you for stepping up and defending Petey, Frank. People who have tried to play at the highest level while hurt know just how hard it is, unlike all the media members and fans lounging on their couches.
Absolutely agree. An elite player doesn't suddenly choose to be 60% for no reason, half way through the season. I'm positive that Petey tried to play through the problem (and did so) and he just wasn't the same after the All-Star break.
He would have been criticized if he had offered no explanation, then he was criticized for offering an explantion. No wonder many players stay away from social media and even Q&A with some of the legacy media.
Fans almost drove Besser out of town, would have dumped Garland for a bag of pucks, dumped on Horvat who didn't deserve that, now taking shots at Pettersson. If that is the reputation of Canuck 'fans', why would talent want to come here? Every team in the league would take Petey's contract if they had cap room and a roster need.
I didn't see an "injured" Petterson during the playoffs, and I didn't hear anyone talking about an "injured" Petterson. If he really was injured like Thatcher Demko for example — then why was he playing and making it worse? What I saw was an Elias Petterson who was only playing at about 75% of what we know he's capable of, and someone whose career may have peaked. It's happened before in NHL history to some players. I hope not and that he'll turn this slump around. What I am now hearing is some people in the Canucks management/media circus trying to gaslight us.
Are you sure? Why didn’t Toochet rest him in game 82 against WPG? 4 players were rested and he played
Tocchet should have shut him down the last 10 games. Forced him to be ready for the playoffs.
Vancouver sports Media is so lazy. Petey says he was playing hurt and he's getting roasted, Hronek doesn't say and he also is getting roasted. This is why we can't have nice things.
