No matter what happens within the next few days, maybe the next couple weeks, I’d like to mention it’s important to remember that it’s just a game. Obviously we want to win the Stanley Cup, that’s the end goal, but even if we don’t make it, we need to remember that this is just a game. We should be proud to have made it this far with a team that one could say is considered an “underdog”. Even if we don’t make it, I would like to appreciate the run that the Rangers have given us. It’s not over yet, we still have work to do, but whatever happens, we will not fade into the dark. Maybe we do win it this year, maybe we don’t, but that shouldn’t stop us from enjoying our team put on a show. Let’s go win game five, take it one period at a time. We can do this. Whatever happens, this Rangers team is special and you can’t take that away from them. Maybe that’s a better mentality for both us the fans and the players. Maybe it’s our mentality of being caught up in trying to make it to the SCF. Let’s live in the moment and enjoy this series while it lasts, let’s hope we make it, but appreciate this run if we don’t. Let’s Go Rangers! Let’s go feast on some Cat!

There are some serious positives if the year ended for us right now.
Laffy has launched into the next big thing, maybe during these playoffs.
Igor has shaken off any sus feelings about a rough patch mid season
Cuylle, Rempe, Schneider, Miller, etc. are all gaining valuable experience being on this run with our vets
This feels like the kind of run a team makes that generates the players here wanting to stay to run kt back win or lose, and players on the outside want to come here to be a part of, could be wrong, but it feels very different from the I’m here to win and get paid run
Lavy is a good coach for this team right now, who knows how he ages in the next 5, but if we can figure out contracts, etc I think we stay competitive for a few years at least
Vinny Trocheck is really making that contract look like a value and has cemented himself as a top C in every situation all year and playoffs long
We are accomplishing this with basically our starting 2C and 1RW being out for a good amount of the year, and deep into the playoffs, robbing them of continuity and the form to really contribute
We likely literally killed the canes after beating them in the 2nd round.
There is alot to be happy about, not all, there’s alot to be dissapointed in too, but there is always a silver lining.
Well said! Thanks for the reality check!👏👏👏👏👏
Great post!
I figured we’d be a playoff team this year, but not a contender. It’s been an amazing run so far that has exceeded every expectation I had. LFGR!!
I want them to win the cup so bad but this is not like the 2015 or 2016 teams this is not there last kick at the can.In fact I think this is there first year of true contention 2021-2022 was a magical run that gave every one way to high expectations coming out of a rebuild last year was more of a corse correct .This year we either win the cup and have a chance at more then 1 or we lose this series or next but make not mistake this is the begining of the run not the end .Kreider is the oldest of the core at 33.All the young talent Laff showing he might be a Star plus the reinforcements Othman Peraue (spelled wrong)This team will be a top 3 in the metro for a while.I have a feeling them and the Devils will own the division the next few years
