I definitely think David Perron will be one of the players the Leafs could take a run at this summer

My initial thought about acquiring a veteran coach who has some strong relationships with players around the league is that there is a chance some guys actively pursue signing in Toronto because of him.
I can imagine reuniting with a coach you have enjoyed playing for, and succeeded under, would make Toronto a much more intriguing option for guys.

Shit NO FORMER LEAFS PLAYER outside of Marlies that came up maybe will say about Keefe. What a fuckin waste of space that guy was.

Me to David Perron then.

Leafs should go after this guy. Good player who steps up in the playoffs.

Could this be the new Spezza?
But real talk 3 year deal would be worth it, especially if Treliving gets the cap hit down in exchange for the extra year

I’ve become very convinced that David Perron would be a great addition on a 1 year deal as like a better Jarnkrok, but I hate when we have these stories of this guy who wants to come here and is a perfect fit and then you get the following story where he wants like 3×5 or something insane.
I feel like that happens a lot. I can’t give you an example though, so that might just me being mad for no reason haha.
