On today’s episode of Locked On Stars, Joey breaks down how Roope Hintz unlocked Jason Robertson in game three against the Edmonton Oilers. Also, the advanced numbers for Robertson with and without Hintz in the lineup this postseason, Roope could be the difference for the Stars in this series. In the second segment, Joey highlights Miro Heisanken and his playoff career as he hit 82 career playoff games played. He also reached the 60 point mark last night with his goal which makes him the 4th defensemen in NHL history to hit that mark before the age of 25 joining Paul Coffey, Bobby Orr, and Cale Makar. He is currently having an incredible postseason on both ends of the rink and playing against some of the top players in the game. In the final segement, Joey takes you through the numbers and impact of the two longest tenured Dallas Stars in Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn who have combined 25 points this postseason. They are putting together some of their best postseasons in terms of numbers of their career in the early thirties and have made massive strides in their games from years ago.

I’m so glad Benn and Seguin embraced the intense criticism from management several years ago. They have risen to the call and allowed the Stars franchise to thrive. Watching Benn raise the Cup is on my bucket list…

Pav's contribution has been huge, perhaps not on the score board, but he's winning face offs, has blocked shots, had shots on goal and a true leader; he should be in the line up. Awesome to see Robo finally find his groove again, been my shooting star prediction a few games back; so happy to see his success in game 3. Awesome having Hintz back too, been lots of great team work, no doubt the depth is proving to be vital. Great series with the Oilers, fast pace games, lots of great talent on both teams!
