Seems like he may have an opportunity to be a head coach somewhere. Not a terrible loss, but the PK did take a big step this year.

Is Yeo connected to Berube at all through STL?

Wouldn’t be surprised if he takes an assistant spot in Toronto, that probably pays about double what he’d make here.

  3. My bet is he takes on assistant/Associate in Toronto

There’s only one head coaching vacancy left right now and it’s San Jose. Nothing about that job screams that they’d hire Mike Yeo. Chances are he wants a Assistant Coach gig elsewhere is all, perhaps with a Head Coach he’s known more personally than Tocchet.

its a business, rick aint going anywhere anytime soon, hes got to look at what he can do to position himself on a path to another NHL head coaching spot. good luck and thanks for the time put in

No biggie. Yeo was here when Tocchet came. This makes room for another Toc hire.

Not a huge loss tbh. I know fans are saying our PK was great for some reason, but it was 17th in the league. Sure, an improvement over last year, but that was literally a league worst PK and we added like 5+ penalty killers in the off season. Cole, Soucy, Zads (later on in the season), Blueger, and Lafferty. Lindholm also came in later to help with the PK. His offence was bad for most of his time here, but his defensive presence was pretty massive. So, I don’t think Yeo was even all that good. But he certainly was better than whomever they had running the powerplay. Sheesh.

Not a huge loss. The Canucks were 17th in PK percentage even after adding top-flight personnel like Blueger, Suter, Soucy, Cole & Hronek. A new voice would probably be best.

I like when “parting ways” really means parting ways. Seems like no hard feelings on either side. Good breakups are nice
