I can't understand why that was even called. Palat lifted his stick cleanly twice, and Johnson did hit his hands, but Laughton had already lost control of the puck. I'm just happy he didn't score

I hate that it doesn't matter how clean your stick checks are on breakaways anymore, if you touch a guy at all it's a penalty shot
But then again, the refs haven't had a common sense understanding of the rules for years and years now
