If Iginla is available at 7, look for Calgary and Ottawa to swap picks(Calgary 9). Going to Calgary, a defenseman, Forsberg and going to Ottawa is Weeger and Markstrom. Ottawa obviously needs a righty "D" but they need help now and can't wait to try to develop a D man. If that can be achieved by trading for Weeger, then they have the option of drafting the best player that they think is available. The key is that obviously Calgary really wants Iginla
Ottawa Drafting 2 Defenders especially Smaller defenders in the 1st round is very Unlikely
Levshunov is over rated. He is not a top 2 D. Demetov has one year left on his Russian contract. Personally I would not be mad if the Hawks reach and took Iginla. Sure thing and no Russian drama of a possible reup.
If Catton falls much farther than that I hope Colorado trades up.

Iāve asked this question so many times and I never quite get a straight answerā¦
Why does the NHL draft so young? It seems like itās such a crap shoot trying to project out how these 16-17 year olds are gonna develop, not to mention itās such a long wait for fansā¦why not wait until guys āintend to play in the NHLā the following season? Wait till theyāre 19, 20, 21 with some professional hockey under their belt? There could always be exceptions, like how there are in juniors with kids being granted an exceptional statusā¦guys like Bedard, McDavid, Crosby, Kane etc..but other than that, wait a few years so itās not such a coin flip?

Columbus wonāt take Iginlaā¦ They will take Lindstrom or Helenius in my opinion, Iginla is not a natural Center he will be a winger at the NHL levelā¦ CBJ really needs a C they tried Laine down the middle and I believe they look at Johnson and Sillinger as wingers so itās either Lindstrom, Heleniusā¦ some people will say Helenius is a reach at 4 but in my opinion his floor is a second line C but his upside is not that high heās a safe bet to be an NHL player and a good oneā¦ I think Iginla will go to the Habs if Demidov is gone and the Hawks donāt take Levshunov I believe the Habs may even draft Iginla over Lindstromā¦ Iginla in my opinion has First line winger upside not as a play driver but a very good complementary player on a first line, Heās gonna be better than lots of people thinkā¦.
Why is everyone having a hard time wrapping their heads around Craigās list not being an actual MOCK DRAFT š¤¦š¼āāļøšā¦ He doesnāt have Helenius going third overall he has Helenius being the 3rd best forward in the draft in 3-4 years I still donāt agree with that, but heās not making a list on where players will go heās making a list on the best players from the draft in 3-4 years when they are developedā¦

At six feet tall, decent speed and skating, and the BEST scorer in the draft, how is Eiserman getting so much hate from "experts?" He's seventeen for Christ sakes. You mean to tell me "experts" can forsee his failure to improve in his deficiencies? Big mistake passing him up.

Sabres will package the #11 overall pick, & trade it away for a veteran top 6 forward.
Bedard and Demidov going to look more like Crosby and Malkin
Thereās no way Buffalo is drafting Greentree with all those dman still available. Especially Greentree. Heās slow, opposite of what the Sabres have been drafting.
Idk, I still think the top 11 will be the top 6 dmen and celebrini, demidov, Helenius, lindstrom, and Iginla. Teams prioritize 1Cs and top pairing dmen.
