Unfortunately live with a Rangers fan and tbh never seen anyone less deserving of a postseason run like this. Snoring by second intermission every fucking game, or turning it off early in the (rare) cases the Rangers have been down….this was one of the first games I heard them actually watching to the final buzzer. Indulge me being a bitter bitch for a minute, but FUCK, I hope they never see a goddamn Cup win in their lifetime. HOCKEY GODS SERVE UP SOME KARMA, PLEASE.

  2. Anerythristic

Next game is a must win obviously. They absolutely have the edge in goaltending Bob actually hasn’t been great. I’m figuring fatigue is setting in.

  3. Strong-Bar5185

Bobrosky is a fucking joke we pay him so much money to allow 5 goals on 23 shots in the ECF?! he’s a bum and I hope we don’t start him in game 4 rather have Stolars in there

  4. TkilledJ

Anyone else want to swap out Cousins for Okposo?

  5. porcospino20

Realistically at some point they might have been down in a series. At some point they were always going to face some adversity somewhere.

Either they handle it and they come back and win or they don’t. And if they don’t then they don’t deserve to win the Stanley Cup because that means they’re not the best team and they might still be missing something. Guess we’re gonna find out.

Rangers still haven’t beaten us in regulation this year and damn this sucks

  7. iLoveCoachQ

Bob spending more of his energy complaining to the ref than making a save

  8. Square_Foundation884

The better team didn’t win. It happens! We move forward!

  9. tampapat54

The line changes worked which is the good news. Great hockey from that point on. I’d still do Okposo in for Cousins, we don’t need an agitator out there we need a solid all around player which is what he is.

PoMo always sticks with his vets so we won’t see any changes with Ek but in all reality he really should go down a line and bring up Montour which gives us two offensive options at D with the top line

Deserved or not, it’s probably the time to put in Stoli if not for anything other than to change it up and give the boys some motivation. Bob could also use a rest game, hes 35 and had a short offseason and now another long playoff run

And it’s not over until that 4th win, this group has gone through all the trials a team generally goes through to learn how to win a cup. They know what position they’re in and they know what’s expected to overcome it.

We need to play more physical and live up to our reputation of a “dirty” team

  11. thehustlerbraveheart

We didn’t “dominate” this game by any means. We got two fluky goals, gave up a shorty, and failed to capitalize on a double PP. Bob also didn’t play well. In a sense you can say we were lucky that one even went to OT. Did we have the puck more? Sure, but we failed to convert soooooo many scoring chances in the 3rd and OT.

Tkachuk NEEDS to get going or this series is going to be a steel uphill battle. I’m not sure what you do in goalie next game, feels like Bob needs a break but do you trust Stolarz enough against a team as opportunistic as the Rangers?

Bottom line as crushing as this loss was, a team that is worth winning a cup will come back and win game 4 and put themselves in a position to win the series. Let’s see how they respond to a gut lunch like this.

we need to play game 4 with the intensity we played that 3rd period. cant be playing from behind whole game. love bobby, he played well, defense did leave him hanging but he needs a break. need to come out swinging game 4. OT im reality is luck. you just need 1 shot to go in. rangers know that, why do you think end of period they were just trying to clear?

  13. Labillethegoat

so fucking deflated man. Were the better team outplayed them the whole series and were somehow down 2-1 with the season on the line now on Tuesday. I have now doubt we beat the oilers/stars, which makes this even more painful

  14. ChrisyBear

    Fuck. That’s all I got.

But if this team can come back from a 1-3 series against a stacked Boston, then they can come back from 1-2 against the Rangers.

  15. alexemmett91

Rangers have a fucking horseshoe up their asss

  16. brewre_26

We went down in the Boston series and responded by winning 3 straight so let’s hope we can do the same here. I knew the lines needed to change and we had some great looks once they did. Let’s roll with that maybe swap Cousins out for Lorentz.

  17. Welp just checked after not being able to watch… not the outcome I wanted…

I’m not sure the Cats can win 3 in a row against the Rangers (Shesterkin), so I’m inclined to think either this goes to 7 or the Rags 360 no scope the rest of the series.

  18. Labillethegoat

Just hope this doesn’t deflate them mentally going into g4 and they put this behind them. As much as this stings, tie this up on tuesday and its a best of 3 then.

  19. Anerythristic

Everyone needs to relax we’re down 2-1 in a seven game series. PoMo will make adjustments. They know its a must win game at home

  20. gabmar1713

one thing were also not gonna do is complain ab the refs… we got some pp that were soft, and same with rangers. officiating in general has been dog shit but were not boston/ny/tampa bitching that we just lost bc of the refs. we fucked ourselves going down by 2.

  21. ExtensionPutrid572

Sucks to let NY get that W after they barely survived the 3rd period but if we keep playing like we did in the 3rd and don’t leave a guy open and alone in front of the fucking net in OT then I think we’re good also I love Bob but please he’s gotta start playing better some of these goals have been brutal

  22. From the perspective of an Oilers fan, this series reminds me a lot of the Rangers vs Carolina series.. Rangers getting outplayed more often than not but still somehow scraping out wins largely due to goaltending.

From checking the stats, Bob 3.2 goals allowed above expected, oof.. that does not happen often for him.

  23. Will 2 consecutive OT losses kick their ass into gear? What’s it gonna take to see that desperate hockey again? What happened to that utter domination we have been showing? We are evenly matched, but we are not adapting and overcoming. We cannot play catchup hockey in the ECF or against the Rangers.

  24. soflahokie

Keep Bennett and ERod on the 2nd line, swap cousins out

  25. airpope2

Seemed like that goal went off his glove which should be no goal?

  26. OpeningMortgage4553

Guys this series is still 2-1 “just breathe” 🧘

    FUCK THE DOOMERS!

    Trombone? Zamboni? Remjob?

    Never heard of em.

    Cats in 7. I’ll see y’all Tuesday

  27. gay4molemannn

We came back from 1-3 against the presidents champ last year

We can come back from 1-2 this year

  28. Labillethegoat

I can accept losing these games by being outclassed and the opposition is just better, but its the total opposite here.

  29. TheyCallMeOlSwole

I continue to believe that the Florida Panthers will win game 7, 4-3 in OT, to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.

  30. MetalsnakeV

For the next game I think the line changes need to stay the same. We were absolutely dominant in the third and overtime with those lines and probably should have won, but Igor was a monster. I’m interested in where Tarasenko gets moved though because he was invisible most of the game. The power play also needs to be fixed, we can’t keep trying to feed it to Reinhart when the other team knows it’s coming. Cats in 7 if we fix those issues

  31. GlassWrong2091

Thanks to our sorry ass goale cats should be up 3 games to 0 .when will maurice learn and he will probably start game 4 because he has a love affair with him

  32. Labillethegoat

If we win Tuesday, I’m confident this team will pull this series out. As long as psychologically they put this behind them this series will be tied on Tuesday.

  33. Motown_Sloan

Rangers fans whine about every shift when they don’t get a call, and then rationalize troubas elbows 🤣. The hockey gods won’t let that Insufferable fan base prevail.

  34. Labillethegoat

Obliviously could end up with egg on my face, but there’s no way this team lose would 2 straight scf in a row against the oilers/stars who aren’t even close to those cap cheats last year. 2-1 down isn’t the end of the world, and they’ve proved so far in this series that there the better team. Just gotta mentally put this behind them for game 4.

  35. BunyipPouch

I just got back from the game and I’m SO disappointed at how many Rangers fans there were. I was in 112 and our entire side of the lower level must’ve been 65% Rangers fans. We were easily outnumbered. That’s why I really wanted Carolina to win. Bummer.

  36. Labillethegoat

That tkachuk miss will haunt me forever if this series doesn’t go our way
