I don't really see what the big deal is. Matthews has always been about himself and how many goals he can score. No. 70 is just as important to him as No. 17 was earlier in the season. That's why he has less than 40 assists this season. Matthews doesn't measure wins and losses the way everyone else does. It's only a win if he scores, even if the Leafs have fewer goals than their opponent. And if the Leafs beat an opponent, Matthews sees it as a disappointment if he didn't score a goal.
Watched the game against the panthers…I thought Toronto was going to make a statement game…o my god…way to run away from getting hit…in some ways the fact that Toronto will play Boston now is a blessing because Florida completely man handles Toronto
