   FWIW I’ve heard not to expect anything on Stamkos until June, and that the waiting period doesn’t have anything to do with negotiations (I’m guessing he’s taking some time to be with his family after the new baby)

    It’s a ridiculous cap hit for an aging defenseman. You would have hoped to see some salary retained here.
