It would be pretty great to see Tanev lift the cup and that would be the one and only reason I’d root for the Stars.
However, the Luongo/Turco standoff, the “mother of all elbows” incident, and Benn/Seguin’s stupid comments about the Sedins a few years back are all pretty fresh in my memory. Whereas, with the Oilers ,there’s not the same level of playoff animosity.
I’ll begrudgingly rooting for Edmonton in the Western Conference finals.
