The New Jersey Devils announced this morning that they have signed forward Kurtis MacDermid to a 3 year deal.
Amazing news!
I absolutely love Kurtis MacDermid and everything he brings to this NJ Devils team.

1.15M for 20-25 games per season and 4-5 minutes per game! Macdermid agent had Fitzgerald well! And Smith who plays solid minutes every game including PK, fights and actually puts puck in net was paid less than that and will be gone! Another proof Fitzgerald has no business being into a management

I'm good with the 3 years. Had to be 2+. You want a player to put his body on the line for the Hughes' brothers every night; then you need him to be fully invested.

I don't know how I feel about this. I'm on board for getting some muscle but I was hoping to get someone who can also produce assists as well and hit and fight. Seems like being the muscle is where it ends with him. Hope he proves me wrong.

Good signing. I'm a big believer in domino effects: one player can change a team's attitude. I'm not sure Timo would've fought Anders Lee earlier in the year. And the 5v5 vs the Rangers DEFINITELY would not have happened without MacD there.
