On a bit of an impulse last night I picked up tickets for tomorrow for my wife and I. First playoff game let’s go!!
I don’t know where the boys were for 3 games before last night, but man I am sure glad they showed up. It almost feels like they act the same way I did in school. Sure you can get out ahead, but why do that when you perform better when there’s no margin for error left lol. There were still some sloppy passes and D breakdowns. Somewhere between interviews with Bednar, the DNVR podcast, and this sub I’ve seen it mentioned that the Avs are a D first team and honestly I’m a bit confused by that. Our best D is O zone possession time. Keep the cannons firing and prevent Dallass from being able to trap.
All I want for tomorrow is the Avs to score 1st. LET’S GO BOYS

Looking for Dallas to go back to their turtle slogfest style Friday.
When Avs got them spread out and skating, the Stars couldn’t keep up.
Eliminate the slop on D and stay physical and I think they have a recipe for success to send it to 7.

Need Mikko to either get healthy or get his head out of his ass, not sure which is plaguing him but we need him to get right. Need Dallas to take a morale hit and have some self-doubt. Need our depth scoring to step up, as Dallas is doing a good job shutting Nate down. We can win this series.

Well in 2022 they had to face their demons breaking through the second round. This year the demon will have to be a G7 win, if we get to it. That would be huge considering Debeours record against us in G7’s.
Hoping for the best, maybe the team rallys around the loss of Nuke as a signal to stop feeling sorry for themselves. I get that some of them probably lost a friend, all of them lost a very talented player. But you need to be dialed in for playoff hockey, not fucking around on game days or nights like Nuke.
I’m still doubtful we can win the Cup but every team seems flawed, including NYR, Dallas, Panthers. It’s anyone’s cup this year. So the Avs should play as such.

It sounds dumb and obvious, but 6 means the series is 3-2. One team always faces elimination. It’s just a regular game 6 where Colorado is on the bad end of it. Coming back from being down 3-2 doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s not rare either. Take it at the pit tomorrow and then it’s anybody’s series
