[Lance Lysowski] Dan Girardi is not going to be back with the Sabres next season, a source told me. The longtime NHLer was a defense development coach for Buffalo the past three seasons.

   Lol this makes me think Ellis is still going to handle the powerplay. And this is the job Appert was brought in to do while learning from Ruff how to be an NHL head coach. As they are still 1 assistant coach short from last year if they take Ellis away from the bench.

   Wait, Dan Girardi from NYR/TBL Dan Girardi was a defensemen development coach with us? Did not know this until now.
