  1. If Demidov and Lindstrom aren't available, my ideal pick at 5 would be Tij Iginla. Honestly, I almost hope Lindstrom is gone at 2-4 because I would hesitate between the two! Iginla has great offensive upside with that shot, he backchecks, never cheats, has that clutch factor in the playoffs – to me it would be an absolute slam dunk pick for the Habs! I think his floor is higher than Lindstrom as well (injuries + smaller sample size). I love Catton too, but Iginla is a more complete player IMO.
No disrespect to Sennecke but he is one or two tiers below these guys and has a much lower floor!

  2. Would you say it's more likely that Lindstrom is a W or a C at the NHL? The more I watch him, the more I lean W. Pretty much the same way I could never see PLD there or can't see someone like Cutter Gauthier sticking there long-term.

  3. We will find out on draft day. They will take the best player available. Why all the speculation I have no idea. Kent Hughes and his staff have things under control.

  4. If Celebrini, Demidov, Levshunov, and Lindstrom are the top 4 of the draft, then it honestly will be really interesting to see who Montreal will take at 5. Because I don't think they take a defenseman. If Columbus takes a defenseman at 4, then I think Montreal just takes Lindstrom 5th overall. Columbus is the wild card in this draft at the moment tbh.

  5. If Demidov or Lindstrom is still there at 5, I want them to get the 6th or 7th to grab Senecke as well. With 2 of those guys your top six would be set!

  6. Another great video, There is a lot of variety here. It may all boil down to which prospect management thinks will be the best fit with the young players and prospects they have now. Pretty sure it will be a forward though.

  7. So are we all sleeping on Eiserman lol? Either way, all the possible forwards the Habs could draft at #5 mentioned in this video are all good choices. Just as long they don't draft another defenseman again this year with a top 5 pick, PLEASE! 🙏

  8. Scoring in Junior is easy, the goaltenders are young. Riley Kidney had 119 points in Junior, similar size, so Catton will need to get stronger over 2-3 years to make it. Love his intelligence, a big add to any team, but I think Tij Iginla is better overall and will be a core player in Montreal. There are no "bad" picks in the top 15 this year, I trust HUGO's choice, gohabsgo

  9. Idk why but we hear a lot of Iginla in habs media, but tbh on other youtube or sub reddit rest of the bottom 10 team almost never talk about him. I think we have a media bias towards him.

  10. I’d be over the moon if the Canadiens were able to select Demidov, I would be happy about Lindstrom or Iginla, I’m skeptical of Catton and Eiserman. If we select Sennecke at 5 when we could get him at 27… I might give up with expecting the logical pick to be made

  11. Forget about Demidov, he's gonna go in the top 3. For the Habs right now, Sennecke or Lindstom should be the focus toward that up front attack in front of the net. It's key for any team that wants to win in the playoffs!!

  12. Flames want Iginla, trade back to #9 adding Calgary late 1st rounder from Van. They would still be able to choose among Catton, Sennecke, Helenius, Connelly, Eiserman, in all likelihood.

  13. I want TiJ!!! They passed on Mitchkov last year so I would be surprised that they go for Demidov at this point. Hugues has a tendency to do his thing though

  14. Trade Ghule for columbus pick. Draft lidstrom (4), iginla (5) and poirier (27). Franchise changing draft
