Slafkovsky looks like a superstar. Im starting to think this guy could be a 100+ point guy. His offensive ability looks like Matthew Tkachuk. And his back checking reminds me of Anze Kopitar. His puck battles also remind me of a Krieder. He looks scary. And will tear up the NHL! Go Slovakia!
I wouldnt be suprised if teams are callint on Xhekaj. But i wouldnt be suprised either if Kent picks up and tells them hes not doing it unless theres a massive overpay. Hes a valuable player to our future. A character. He wants to stay. The team wants him to stay. The fans want him to stay and he brings that grit. I hope he isnt moved. But if were offered like Necas im doing it.
I think its 100% worth it to offer Tysplakov a contract. Hes a goal scorer. And i think Montreal should look for any goal scorers they can get. He reminds me a little bit of Kuzmenko. Im not saying he will have 39 goals in his 1st year but maybe 15-20? That would be an awesome addition for us. We need goal scorers if we want to go into the playoffs and this one is free right here. And if he dosent pan out just bury him in the AHL and wait till his probably 1 year contract ends.
No ! not for a Celebre ni or etc. Dudes a keeper..
Notre Tatar est un capitaine de classe mondiale pour la Slovaquie. Nemec a un instinct offensif extraordinaire. Slaf est un mâle Alpha.
He had more production than Alexander Radulov before coming with the habs! Radulov was 30…he is 25!
It might be a potential point for signing in Montréal, for Tsyplakov, that the Habs are still in a development/building stage. Go to Montreal, learn and develop in the NHL, then maybe sign with another club for big money if things go very well. If his game needs work, he could chose to stay with Montréal.
Other teams know that the Canadiens are under utilizing Xhekaj. They see the shame in wasting his talents. He was the lowest minutes per game of all defenseman on the team. Matheson needs to go.
Xhekaj is a future playoff style defenseman. That is one of the reasons why he is so valuable to our team IMO.
No wonder why Mr. Hughes is unwilling to budge with him.
A player like Xhekaj has some unique qualities that don't come around that often and other teams know it … thus the interest. It's not only his tough side but he really wants to improve on his defensive game in general. He's well liked in the locker room and it allows the smaller players to play bigger cause they know he's got their back. I see a bright future for the Habs as they keep adding more talent to the equation and Wifi is part of that winning equation.
thanks guys love the vids #drivefor25
dont sell xhekaj like anderson until he doesnt got any value at all sell high. Great blueliner coming up we need goal scorer…
Slafkovský did not play well today. He had little movement and soloed too much. His performance in the tournament is still on a downward trend. I think it's time to shuffle the formations
Keep Arber the guy had 10 points in 44 games with an injury and was +6 on an awful Montreal team not crazy to think he could be a 25-30 point guy in a full season while providing a ton of grit. I'd much rather keep him than trade him for a late 1st you're only missing out on a late 1st rounder vs keeping him and him potentially being vital to this team especially once we get back into the playoffs.
IMO, unless Habs can obtain Tsyplakov at a reasonable salary & AAV ie a 3rd line forward's salary, I see no reason to open the vault given he will be aged 26 at the start of the season and has only had one really good year in the KHL. At that age his development is finished and he should be coming into his prime. In addition, since next season Habs management expect the team to compete for the playoffs we should expect young players to no longer have the opportunity to develop at the NHL level. I suspect those days are over unless Habs get off to a disastrous start.
Everything is great about slaf. But he really!!!!! Lacks shooting and no matter how hard he tries. And he seems to want to playmake more(pass) then shooting.
Someone should let that Slovak player that hes not allowed to wear num 87. Just looks weird. Lol
Xhekaj reminds me of Scott Stevens, if he can be more solid defensively, the way he hits and that SHOT! Good duo with Mailloux as a third pairing this year.
Wifi trade would be disaster for Habs
I believe that HuGo have a definite type of player that they are looking for, not just talent, but character, size, intelligence, grit.
I know it sounds basic, but that explains Slaf > Wright, and Reinbacher > Mishkov.
It is the type of player that excells in the playoffs.
Because of that, i find Xhekaj in that mold. More likely to trade Matheson, Barron & Harris.
The rumors of Blackeye Jackeye trades just seem like jealousy from other teams to me. He's not moving, just wouldn't make sense for the Habs to weakin a blueline like that.
You will NEED a guy like Wifi in the playoffs ..!! He has a presence on the ice that keeps other teams ,honest ..!! Sign this guy …
🔥
Unpopular opinion. Draft zeev trade lane?
Arber Xhekaj should be untradeable im MTL. He is the kind of player that may never win individual silverware, but will win you championships. 💪🏻
