Why does Marner got to be so whiney about everything. That demeanour shows on the ice and bench. āThe Stanley cup is the hardest trophy to win for a reasonāā¦ good attempt to excuse the trend of many years passed that is a lack of compete in the post season, and an undeniable hunger to win and excel. Great players rise up when the stakes are high. Imagine Hyman was in Toronto in place of Marner at half the cap hit. Though the leafs mismanagement probably would have buried Hyman in the minors or on the 4th line. Or if the leafs had better scouting and would have held onto Verhaeghe.

I donāt think Mitch is a bad guy, and heās obviously not a bad player – thatās what makes this so difficult, but I think his subconscious expects to lose at this point and I think the only way to factory reset him is to start over with a new team.
