2024 NHL MOCK DRAFT | May Top 23



In this episode, we present our Top 23 Mock Draft for the 2024 class, including all the teams whose draft spots have been confirmed as of now! First, we break down the Top 7 with no surprises at #1 but with a RD going 2nd to Chicago and a dynamic winger going 3rd to the Anaheim Ducks. Next, we look into the 8 to 15 range, featuring some big swings on upside like the Devils swinging on Eiserman, Sabres on Parekh, and Wild on Catton.     you guys have done a great job with the top 23. Quick rational analysis for each team's pick and very thorough discussions of each players skill set. As a Flyer's fan, I think Helanius' fit with Michkov makes alot of sense and he should fit better for Torts as a committed two way player than Catton. Look forward to your completion of the first round. Are you waiting to see how the outcome of the playoffs will determine the draft order of the final 8/9 picks?

    Unless he blows the hawks away in interviews With Connelly's off ice issues, I think the hawks stay far away from him. They are very particular with attitudes and pasts of players (example see what happened with Perry). Maybe Michael Hage.

    I don't think there's a world the ducks take Demidov. he's a left shot, verbeek said he was looking for a right shot, he's also not huge or particularly gritty which are 2 things we know Verbeek values. Just doesn't seem like a Verbeek pick at all to me

    Curious to hear if you think the Flames would trade 9 down to 14 and 33 with the Sharks if Tij isn’t available?… or if you think any other teams would consider this?

    Other than the much higher offensive upside, whats the difference between Levshunov, and Brunicke/Elicke?

    I don't think Catton has any of the high end tools that Kane had in his draft year. Kane had next level hocky sense, and playmaking and the best hands for a prospect. Catton isn't at that level. Catton is more like Sam Gagner

    Have you guys been living under a rock the last few years? No way the Hawks take Connolly.
    The number one criteria for them in hiring staff and drafting is character, have you noticed that Cory Perry isn't there anymore?
    Along with the entire office and coaching staff?
    The Hawks are a zero tolerance organization.

    Anaheim would be broken if they got Demidov. Leo, Gauthier, Tavish, Demidov, Zegras. That’s cheating at this point

    The Devils picking Eiseman at 10 makes no sense, after the failure of Holz why would they pick another player with a good shot and no defence or compete ?

    Could you comment some more on what you mean by Boisvert being such an islanders pick ? How do you think he fits with the red wings ? Do you see him as an NHL winger ?
