  1. Sennecke apparently started the season at 5.9’ and grew to 6.2’ and struggled to start the season until he got used to his size. Was some of the reports I read.

  2. I think Lindstrom will be better than Demidov, Lindstrom would’ve been high ranked if he didn’t get hurt!
But either way you can’t go wrong with either!

  3. Hughes has been very unpredictable in his 1st round selections so it would not surprise me in the least if they pick Sennecke with the 5th pick.

  4. Avoid Russian players especially with 1st round picks. So much talent available why risk it ? You might get another Chucky

  5. I'd rather take Levshunov, Buium, Iginla, Catton, Eiserman, Parehk before Sennecke at number 5 coming from someone who watched him in Oshawa many times.. Yes he is great but come on he's not a top 5 pick.

  6. Almost feel like we should trade up with that Jets pick to be able to draft Catton/Demidov AND Iginla/Sennecke👀

  7. If any of Lindstrom, Demidov or Levshunov are available to the Habs at 5, you laugh all the way to the stage as you make your pick.
Habs fans don’t want another defenceman but we actually still need that solid #1 guy. We have a lot of #2’s & 3’s but if we got Levshunov than that’s a Stanley cup winning D core in its prime.
I want one of the 2 forwards but if it’s Levshunov I’m very happy too.

  8. I'd seriously had the biggest dilemma if both Lindstrom and Demidov were available at 5 for the Habs. I think I'd go for the raw talent of Demidov over the size and grit of Lindstrom. You can get size and grit through later rounds or through trade, but talent like Demidov is hard to get other than drafting him

  9. The last time we reached and passed on a thoroughbred with proven bloodlines it was a complete disaster; it would be absurd to do the same thing again. Trade down or trade up from #24 if they really want Sennecke. Obviously if Demidov (and probably Lindstrom) is there then the decision is easy.

  10. lol boys it’s nice to dream but it ain’t happening! 1 of 4 teams in front of the habs will take him book it!

  11. Sennecke i think is a great Hockey player but will never be that STAR i think the Habs should be looking for at 5. However. Demidov is that. Hes a goal scoring winger with plenty of offensive upside. I think he will be like a Kaprizov which is imo exactly what the Habs need. I mean just imagine with the already great defense we have and Fowler in net then on offense we have Demidov Suzuki Caufield Hutson Slafkovsky?! That sounds like a cup winning roster to me. And also. Its not like the Habs dont have the money for future stars. Suzuki Caufield are both on under 8 million contracts and are 2 BIG parts of our future. I imagine Slaf gets around there too so i really think especially if they get this kid. Montreal is set

  12. My mind is not made about Lindstrom, watched alote of Demidov and Lindstrom games.. I mean, Demidov is on another level.. Even Demidov vs Celibrini, you have to scratch your head when you see the type of player Demidov is..

I hope no one hesitates if he slips at 5

    Good job guys 🎉❤

  13. Josh, a small correction for future reference. in the mailbag discussion on one of The Arpon & Basu podcasts, they discussed the difference between being an Insider and a reporter. They both confirmed they were Reporters, not Insiders.

  14. 4 players really excite me for the 5th pick of the habs, in order: Demidov, Levshunov, Lindstrom, Buium. Ok I know We have lots of Ds but Levshunov and Buium are so hard to pass, I would take them before Iginla. Well, it would be really a tight race between Buium and Iginla actually.

Two guys I hope we avoid: Catton and Silayev… I see Silayev as a bust and for Catton, I think the passage to the NHL might hurt him more than others

  15. I'm an Oshawa fan and I love Sennecke…I'd love to have him in Montreal, but not with the 5th pick OV. To me, he should go 10-15th.

  16. I'll take Lindstrom over Damidov every day of the week. You need big strong sturdy playres moving forward. Name me a small skilled forward, leading a team in the playoffs right now? I'll wait…

  17. If Demidov slips to 5, you don’t even blink an eye….. grab this guy! He may turn into a generational talent! If he’s not there, let’s hope for Lindstrom and then Iginla!

  18. When it comes to power forwards gross size is overrated versus skill. Josh Andersen, Michael McCarron – remember how he was supposed to dominate. Ends up first round. Then waived.
