  1. This needs more attention. Not even a single penalty for any of those plays. It would also be good to include the Hymen cross check on Zadorov and the Petterson boarding play.

“It’s a hockey play!!!!” Why is his stick so high, shouldn’t it be on the ice? Isn’t that what we’re told in hockey? Always keep your stick on the ice?????? A follow through of what! He didn’t have the damn puck. It’s been making me so angry lol

Missing the boarding on Petterson/ Elbow to the back of the head after by Nurse

  4. McDavid actually watches his stick all the way into Hughes’ face….missed that on TV.

  5. checkers_49

What’s crazy is this isn’t even all the stuff they got away with.

  6. TheKeeper122

The worst one is the spear. Other 2 can be explained as hockey plays maybe but the spear is just bad. Shoulda been a 1 game suspension

These refs need to be put in front of a mic, press conference each game and speak about why they did what they did or didn’t do. These officials escape scot-free on some really bogus calls and missed calls.

There was an episode the Simpsons when Bart starts flailing his arms, he closes his eyes and starts walking towards Lisa. The way he looks at Hughs, turns his head, raises his stick then starts his turn reminded me of this juvenile attempt of sidestepping responsibility for a deliberate act

  9. Stinky_Toes12

Pretty sure the dickshot got a minor penalty but the rest were nothing

  10. MarvelousOxman

The more I see the shot of McDavid smacking Hughes with his stick the less able I am to see how anyone could honestly say it was unintentional.

  11. PoisonClan24

Well the 1st one was McDavid so Hughs definitely dived because McDavid

  12. marcosbowser

Thank you for posting this. I wanted to but I don’t have the skills. For those that aren’t aware THESE WERE ALL FROM ONE GAME

  13. gambierisland

Every team has examples like this. Reffing in the NHL, like every other pro sports league, is equally unfair for both teams. Canucks scored a goal with too many men on the ice in this series, for example. Canucks are up in the series 2-1 and in control of their own destiny. Soucy was suspended because it happened after the game was over and you cant tell me he didnt cross check mcdavid directly in the head/neck. Stop complaining and enjoy the ride of this team that has vastly exceeded expectations. Go Canucks!

More of the canucks should be donning neckguards with the dirt these oilers are playing

  15. International_Pen478

    Hughes *gets slewfooted*
Craig Simpson: that’s a good hit

Hughes *gets chopped in the face*
    Simpson: that’s a follow through

  16. International_Pen478

Also Kane with the attempted kick to Zadorov

  17. Far_Out_6and_2

It’s just another trend the Canucks are going to have to deal with sucks i know but that’s the way it is with refs favouring Edmonton

  18. notmyrealnam3

remember Hughes was removed from the ice for bleeding from that

  19. twizzjewink

Brock getting slashed behind the knee in Game 1 right in front of the ref was terrible.

  20. CaddyFDT

Don’t forget that dirty hit on Petterson

  21. Don’t forget the Pettersson boarding non-call earlier in the game.

  22. helixflush

Ok I’m not getting the Petey boarding call. Oilers fans are justifying it because Petey “turned at the last second” but he doesn’t turn irregularly at all, he makes a play for the puck and it looks like nurse hits him in the numbers 1-2ft from the boards. I’m trying so hard to see it another way.

  23. And yet, we are in the lead. Tocc said at the beginning that the team would need to fight through the pain and they are. This franchise has not shown tenacity like this in eons. They are giving their all and finding a way to get the W, regardless of shitty refs, dirty opponents and whatvI like to call “the Bettman effect.” Go nucks!
