Whelp. I would like to say that the Avs played badly, but they played pretty well, a couple of defensive miscues that cost goals. Georgie otherwise played well. Avs got goalied and beat by the better team. Most likely series is over for the Avs. Go ahead and gloat

It was a closer game than the score would suggest, but Otter played a hell of a game and Stars D locked down the 3rd period. I still think this goes to 7. Avs have an absolutely lethal offense, but if Dallas plays like this I think they'll take it.

2 things killed the Avs tonight. Puck luck and Mikko. I also absolutely hate Dallas hockey, it’s trash. It’s just slow, clog, and dump the puck out. After they took the lead, they weren’t even playing hockey anymore, all they were doing was clogging things up and shooting the puck out of the d zone. It works for them but holy crap is it painful to watch.
By all rights this series should be 3-0. The Stars are simply too hard to play against. Most teams can only make it 30 minutes and they are toast.
They huff and they puff and they play so dang hard and then they simply run out of gas.
Give credit to the Avalanche, they lasted 40 minutes tonight. But they should have done it reverse: take the 1st period off and fly for the final 40. 🤷
Looked like MacKinnon was trying to force himself on the board as there's about 5 shots he takes at distance on a crap angle with no screen in front giving ott the easiest saves to get in rhythm, not to mention mack wasn't thinking at all to play defense like AVS are a joke this season. It's like they're not even trying as they seem not to care.

Dallas isn't that great. Even if they get lucky and get past the Oilers, they have zero chance against NYR or FL.

After those first 2 games the way the Stars protecting the lead in the 3rd was impressive.
