Refer back to a year ago in round 2 against Toronto. Bennett goes in for what seems to be a weird hit behind the net on Matthew Knies. He appears to choke slam him in the process and Knies leaves the game with a concussion and doesn't return to the playoffs. Everyone focused on the choke slam or whatever it was. Show the view from behind the net in slow mo and you can plain as day see Bennett making contact with his stick hand to Knies' jaw with a punching motion which was the cause for his concussion. There is a pattern with this player and he stinks of sneaky dirty play and as long as he continues his headhunting tour in the playoffs, the DoPS will remain a complete joke

I genuinely don't understand what people would be saying Bennett did to injure Marchand. Can someone clarify? I have watched it five times. Left elbow is tucked against his body. Right hand doesn't do anything. The injury is ribs, not head.
It's a carbon copy of Bennett's sucker punch on Matthew Knies last year in the playoffs against the Maple Leafs. 100% intentional. Also the fans in this comment section turning as blind eye to head trauma because of Marchy's history (ignoring the fact he's done a really good job over the past several years to clean up his game and be a good person off the ice) is concerning. Nobody should be cheering this type of action as all it does is create an environment on the ice that will become dangerous for other players if not policed by the DoPS or the officials. You can have a personal bias against Marchand, but this sets a bad precedent moving forward. I know if it was your team or player that Bennett did this to, you would all be outraged.

Marchand is a snake. He goes out intentionally looking to hurt people all the time. He dives all the time. He instigated that hit. And in a split second decision, you're seriously gonna look at this and try to say Bennett intended to injure him? What an absolute joke.

Rib injury is highly likely in this instance. Thats where the most contaxt was made and the rat looked like he was in pain and folded directlty after contact not from thr boards.
