The Rangers just beat the Canes in their second straight overtime game as they take a strangle hold on the series, now up 3-0! That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!
There is no doubt I am not counting the Hurricanes. Something seems seriously wrong and even as a Rangers fan I am shocked how they won that Third Game. I don’t think a sweep is happening with the Hurricanes backs up against the wall, they can still put up a fight.
Rangers need to come out aggressive and get the first goal. Canes pressure will mount and they will take more risk which will work to the Rangers advantage.
No team has had a 2 goal lead in the series. Whoever gets it will win for sure.
The ice was definitely a problem. Players on both teams were falling down untouched throughout. That just happens sometimes having games in warm weather areas in May and June. When I was playing in an older college rink in a summer camp as a kid in mid July the heat and humidity were so bad that there would be standing water at center ice by the end of the afternoons. Sometimes the AC just can't keep up.
Hats of the rangers, i hope carolina comes back as an official rangers hater, but they are playing fantastic and look every bit like the Stanley cup favorites
Dude can we stop with Rempe???? I mean I get the guy being big and scary, but he can barely skate on NHL level. I like him, but he can't be a regular in playoffs due to the lack of speed and no scoring.
I agree with you Eck, this is as likely to end in 4 as it is to go to 7. There have been several times over the last 3 games where the Canes were carrying the play and they looked like the better team. Igor has held the fort when he's had to so far.
I'm thinking, what if the Rangers become unstoppable and go on to the Finals? Even more, win the Cup 30 years after their last one, but also face the Canucks in the Finals as well?
Rempe would’ve gotten booted from that game and suspended. Would’ve been down to 11 and 6 after the first period. That lineup change needed to happen in order for us to win.
Rempe should see no more ice time for the rest of the playoffs. He's undisciplined and takes too many stupid penalties that the Rangers can't afford. If he doesn't play another second I wouldn't shed a tear.
