The Pittsburgh Penguins delivered some news on Friday with the re-signing of Valtteri Puustinen. To start this episode, Hunter and Pat give their thoughts on the signing and what to expect from Puustinen for next season. They also dive into how he played this past season and what line suits him best for next season. After that, they dive into the latest regarding Sheldon Keefe and look at whether he’d make sense to come into the organization. Should the Penguins go after him for an assistant job? What about the WBS job? The two go back and forth about it (and don’t agree a little bit) before ending the show with how it’s been eight years since Nick Bonino’s overtime goal. They go back in time to detail what they were doing at that time before discussing how awesome it’s going to be when the 2016 team gets honored in a couple of years for the 10-year anniversary of the Stanley Cup team.

Keefe is gonna be a NHL coach … Not AHL …. He’s interviewing for the Devils job and others. Why would he take a step back ?

Getting Puusty on basically NHL minimum is good. I think I agree that I would rather have Jay Woodcroft as an assistant/Sully replacement but I think having Keefe as the WBS coach would be good too. That 2016 team was special and long story short: Someone I know went to the Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final in SJ and asked if I wanted to come, it would've been a financially catastrophic thing to do but I could've made it work and I regret to this day not going haha
Yeah I was pretty much convinced Dubas was gonna talk Keefe into coming here but apparently New Jersey got permission to talk to him, so I'd imagine he'd rather take another NHL head coaching job than coach Wilkes or be an assistant coach. He'll probably end up in Jersey if they decide they want him.

Was that game one against Washington where oshie got that hat trick? I’m pretty sure it was. Cuz the next day at work a co worker whose a Philly fan came and tossed 3 hats on my desk at work. Than after that he shut up the entire rest of the playoffs after the pens beat the capitals. That was such a great run. So many memories. Also hunter wait till you’re 38…time flies haha. Also the “other team” Moose Jaw warriors beat was the Saskatoon blades lol
For me hire Sheldon is like having another byslam 2.0 all over again
