He blames himself for the loss? His team scored 1 goal late in the 3rd period. Really?
You don't make cute plays in playoffs!
He let in some soft goals. 2 went in while he was on his back because he put himself there, and one he was totally out of position and had he tried to get himself back into position, might have been goaltender interference. There were other soft ones as well.
Having said that, he didn't lose us this series at all. Despite those goals against, he played well and kept us in every game.
Turnovers, a lack of attention to detail and being out worked and out hustled by Montreal beat us.
He was the best Leafs player of this series…
Freddie Andersen is the next goalie for the Seatle Kraken
Coach not being flexible and using his last change at home to get Matthews away from Danault. Marner not playing hard enough in big games. Ditto Matthews. Coach playing an ineffective past his prime Jumbo on the PP when it clearly wasn't working. Leaf forwards (other than Hyman) not creating traffic to make Price's life difficult the last three games in particular. These were all factors. Maybe Cambell let in a soft one. But overall his numbers were actually BETTER than Price. This is 100% NOT on him.

The Leafs have scored a combined 6 goals in their last 5 series clinching opportunities the last 3 years. Only 2 of those goals were in the 3 game 7s/5… Based on Jack's stats and performance, he is one of the few bright spots of this season and playoffs. Team failed him miserably.
Jack Campbell was the only one that played like he cared in the last 3 games. One unfortunate goal should not change the fact that he was Toronto's best player in this series.
Jack know worrys you did well and worked your way to number 1 goalie, we'll see you next year

I thought he played well. It's not his fault the defence core was not very good (due to four over paid players) and only a handful of players that showed up to play.
I hate the Leafs, but Jack Campbell certainly won my respect in this series. I hope he gets traded to the Habs to replace Price…

A month later and I still love watching Game 7 videos. Ha ha, F-off Leafs.
Almost 2 months late… but as a Habs fan, I can tell that Campbell played great. What happened was not his fault. Marner and Matthews didn't show up. The team had 0 heart. Campbell tried his best to keep his team in the series but they couldn't pay him back. Shame on you, Leafs. I thought seeing Price having a bad team in front of him for years would have taught you something about answering to your goalie's saves! I hope Campbell either goes to another team or becomes stronger next year. That kind of loss can destroy someone on the inside. Vasilevskiy had to suffer a humiliating loss to the Blue Jackets before going into god mode for two years, just saying.

Gen X it’s OK to be tough on yourself that’s how you get better. This is playoffs he let out a few bad goals and a few rebounds at bad times. Should we hang him on the Cross no, But they sit here and act like you go Jack nothings your fault… Excuse me? Jacks the last line of the Defence, And we need him to make big stops at big Times if you ever think we’re gonna hold a cup or win a playoff series. Good job Jack I know you will work hard this off-season and be ready for the next, Always work hard on yourself and keep beating on your craft and you’ll be a top goalie in the next couple years.
