Can someone tell me why the Oilers are favorites in this series? They're the lower-ranked team and they haven't won a single game against Vancouver this season. An evidence-based approach would suggest the Canucks will take the series. Why is everyone claiming otherwise?
If I'm right I think the Oilers only had just the two shots after they made it 4 – 1, that's good defense on the Canucks part.
This has to creep into the psyche of the Oilers, they lost to Vancouver all year and now they lost in comeback fashion, when they had control of the game. If Draisatil is hurt, that will be another mental challenge to work through. 1 power play; keep playing that clean Canucks, keep that power play off the ice. Fantastic result.
As an Oilers fan who has watched all 5 Oilers losses to Vancouver this year, I don't understand why the Canucks are so widely considered underdogs. They won the division, they're now 5-0 in the season series, and they clearly have some magic that the Oilers have yet to answer for. It's going to be a fun series but I see the Oilers as the underdogs. Canucks had already earned my respect before this game.

The game really changed for me when the referees had the missed call of the player glove the puck and throwing it out of the zone. Should have been called .the Referee call skinner for touching the puck outside the trapezoid by an inch which was the right call so the refs need to call it both ways !
Eh. The oilers didn't really do much to even get to being up 4-1. It's like getting a 3 goal headstart before we bulldozed our way back. We were quite good in the 1st and only got better from there.

I picked the Canucks to win the Cup in Bracket Challenge. This felt like a significant game in what will be memories for years to come of their first Cup run. I’m a Blues fan, so it feels kinda like 2019.
Of course, I picked the Leafs to make the Final as well, so there’s that. 😜
My hunch is that the league is not taking the Canucks seriously, which is good because that means teams are not playing the Canucks like a serious opponent…
You can still hear about how the Oilers gentleman swept the Canucks, not saying it will happen but it could.
