lol I remember some Leafs fans were saying after Game 1 “But I thought the Panthers were supposed to steamroll the Bruins” sarcastically implying the Bruins were much better than we gave them credit for. FWIW, a lot of teams play a bit sluggish in Game 1 after a long break. The Avs for example didn’t look their best against the Stars in period 1 though they did get a lot better as the game went on.

This iteration of the Bruins are a good but un-exceptional playoff team. That’s what makes the whole “we have to keep the band together because the series was competitive” sentiment so bewildering, the reality is if we were as good as we thought we were it really shouldn’t have been as competitive as it was. You’d think at this point, the Core 4 would have at least one series win that was short and convincing.

Yeah that is embarassing for the Leafs organization who supposedly built a team focused on high firepower.

Maybe it’s not the goalies we face, it’s our players and the deployment of the players.

2 goals from a defenceman. 2 goals from depth players. 2 goals from the number 1 stud C. That’s how it’s done. Great playoff teams get contributions from everyone. If I remember correctly, of the Leafs defencemen, only McCabe had a goal and of the depth guys only Kampf scored. That’s pathetic.

  4. Crazy week fam. First Marner was god. Then swayman was god. I don’t think it’s healthy to switch deities so often. If anyone needs me I’ll be at the temple of the flying spaghetti monster and by that I mean east side Mario’s.
