He hits forsberg with his left hand before the stick hits him. I would assume that would make it hurt a lot less. Forsberg was also completely fine after the penalty was called and played on the 5v4. Its a penalty and forsberg is a cry baby
So what makes Forsberg go completely airborne when all he got was a tap in the back? Even if, as you claim, it’s “intent to injure,” can you not also see the clear dive? I’m a huge soccer fan & this is diving 101, from a European player to boot.
Did he dive? Maybe, but I played hockey & got crosschecked in that area myself. It hurt & left a bruise that took 2 weeks to heal. Zadorov would've reacted the same on a similar hit imo. If you don't want to be penalized, don't do stupid shit & that's what that was. Big 'Zed' can shut his yap about 'diving'.
@1:05 you can see the helmet pop up as he gets hit. If big Zeddie just wanted him down the crosscheck should be across the back of the shoulder blades, not the kidneys.
Umm, look at the two players behind Zadorov and Forsberg. The Nashville player does the EXACT same thing to the Canuck. Difference: The Canuck didn't act like he got shot. Does it hurt, for sure. Is it annoying, definitely. But that embelishment is embarrassing, and Zadorov has every right to be mad. This play happens multiple times EVERY SHIFT. Defending Forsberg is mind-boggling. Give them both 2 and move on.
