Difference: No elite passers to jack up your goals on the leafs. Plenty of stellar shots with Matthews and Willy, but having drai and Jesus slinging passes your way helps Hyman

This Hyman comparrison is a bit absurd and dumb

Hymans playing with the best play maker in the world, having his best season of his careeer and likely won’t ever repeat it.

Choo Choo…who’s sharing the lead with less games?

  4. Canada_Checking_In

Of course you are a Habs fan, always more concerned about the leafs.

  5. Bloodraven23

Dude was playing at a 60pts pace his last two seasons with the Leafs and had a 33 goals pace in 2020. Scoring 50 goals is unexpected but Hyman was good before joining the Oilers.

They were dumb as fuck letting him go.

Leafs have to be the worst team at asset management.

Moore, Barabanov, McCann (who they traded for and let Seattle pick the the expansion draft), Kadri (got that trade was awful), Noesen, etc…

It’s actually crazy how bad Dubas was at trades, negotiations and retaining talent, which is basically all the GMs do.

And McDavid somehow gets 13 assists on just 7 of Hyman’s goals 🤪 lol

Its insane how rent free the leafs are in your head

There are 8 teams still playing, but you cant help yourself from being obsessed with a team no longer playing

Zach Hyman or Ilya Mikheyev is going to win as many playoff rounds this year than any of the core four have in their entire careers.

  9. First round, McDavid had 12 points and the Maple Leafs collectively netted 12 goals. It’s a tie!

Yo, imagine being the leafs and thinking that your team is good, while the guys you couldn’t afford to pay because you locked up 4 forwards to almost half your cap space, and the guys who were your best performers in the playoffs go and win elsewhere… Then imagine running it back year after year, and now have to break it up with dudes with full no move clauses that kicked in last year… When they fired their GM over nothing.

    Imagine being the leafs.

And it sounds like they’re planning on keeping Shannahan so more than likely run it back yet again with the inept playoff four core…dumb as shit this franchise is.

To be fair who would have seen this coming even just a few years ago. Not so much the lack of scoring from the Leafs players. More the level of scoring from Hyman the last couple of years. But good for him. He goes to the dirty areas on the ice to get his goals.

Vancouver needs to find a way to bust the Oilers hymen.

I still remember when Tavares signed with Toronto and they went wild. The guy was a cancer on the Islanders. The Islanders got better almost immediately. I can’t imagine paying any player in how the league works now to tie up your salary cap on 4 players. Teams need to be deep to win just in case a guy has an off game or two when it counts.

This reminds me of the summer in highschool when I dated Valerie Stenson. I went to all the parties, hung out with all the cool kids and got to go to an unbelievably nice cottage north of the city every weekend. We broke up that fall and the following year I was working at staples copy centre all summer.

Sometimes life offers you opportunities to be great but it doesn’t always mean you’re great. Sometimes it’s who you’re temporarily dating (McDavid/Dry)

Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great player, but if you put Maroon on that line again he has his best season ever. (27 goals)

    Haha!

Still thinking about the leafs eh?

    Rent free all year!

Move the team to the States and watch them start winning championships.
