Blake Lizotte got pretty low and hung his left leg behind Evander Kane’s legs and somehow Kane ended up flipping backwards. Was this a slewfoot? Have your say!
In the heat of the game, I could see that being called for boarding. Sounds like a few people think it’s a slew foot. Hard to say if it was intentional because of the speed they’re going at. Lizotte looks like he gets low to ensure a clean body to body contact but in the process his left leg sweeps under Kanes. In my opinion not super definitive. What in my opinion is definitive is Lizotte taking 6/7 hard strides in Kanes direction and didn’t slow down. This in my opinion indicates a boarding penalty.
The only reason I dont like it is because kane is playing with a sports hernia right now and that kinda looked like he was trying to aggravate that injury. Not a particularly dirty play except for the fact that it could be a little preplanned.
Hearing a lot of ‘slew foot’ comments getting thrown around. Not big on either teams. Oilers will definitely take it though.
Not saying it isn’t a slew foot but it’s tough to say with the camera angles. If the last two shots didn’t cut out the skate contact, then it’d be easier to say.
if lizzote slew footed Kane wouldn't kanes leg closest to lizzote have lifted in the air. it was kanes leg on the board that came from under him. maybe Kane just lost balance
Contact was hip to pocket height. Kane just fell backwards. It looks worse than it was. They were skating too fast together – Kane rotated not about his feet – so it looks a bit like a slew foot but really wasn’t. 😀

That's not a "tough-call" whatsoever..!!! It was perfectly CLEAN,..furthermore ,…that Evander Kane…!!! HE should be penalized for embellishing..!!!
Liz. went low, kicked Kane’s skates forward and out from under him, while pulling back on Kane’s hips with his elbow = slew foot 247
Clean hit, even when not in playoffs. Not one camera angle can confirm it was a "slew foot."

Just because you're too small to properly check somebody and end up slewfooting them doesn't mean you didnt slewfoot them.
100% a slew foot not warranted anything past a 2 min.
Kings fan here, accidental slew foot, probably still a slew foot, but was that not charging as well? Dumb penalty all together and go Kings!!

When did Kane become so soft? He’s been a king killer the last two playoffs, this year anytime someone comes close, he grabs his head and falls.

The 3rd or 4th slewfoot/clipping play of the series so far by LA. Such a small soft team they have to hit like that.
