  1. Historically, the Canucks are only 3-8 in second round series throughout their 53 years, but those three times they did win, they went all the way to the Finals.

  2. The Canucks-Oilers round will be more wide open and fast it won't be so defensive like the Nashville series

  3. As a tried and true contrarian, I have to pick the Nucks now. Too many people are discounting them. Canuck shock the oilers and end it in 6. A dose of revenge from our meeting back in ‘92. We finished the season as the favourites and they (the stinkin oilers) bounced us in 6.

  4. I think some time should be spent talking about how the poor ice in Vancouver could affect the series. The arena environment and warm outside temps will create ice that may make puck handling difficult for McDavid. Not the case with the best ice in the league in Edmonton.

  5. Seems like everyone is counting out the Canucks… I know regular season stats mean very little, especially when 3 of the 4 wins happened so early in the season and the 4th win came without McDavid in the lineup, but this Canucks team has just shown some resiliency that hasn't been seen for ages in this market. And remember, during the Oilers' hot surge in the second half of the season, the Canucks actually held firm to first place, only giving up 3 points in the standing before Demko's injury… I'm not sold on the team's PK, and I still wonder what can get EP40 going… but I also wouldn't count out this team…

  6. as far as odds go … some peeps are going to be rich if the nucks can actually make it to the final and dare i say if they … win the cup?! … kaching

  7. The Sports Page plays of the month were always must-see TV. I used to record them on my VCR to revisit at a later date. I particularly loved the Ring of Fire one with Pat Burns-Burns-Burns 😂

  8. Zadorov really adds some of those intangibles that become much more valuable in the post season, especially his ability to stay on the right side of the physical play and protect the front of the net.
Great insights from Murph especially about Petey using that shot more.
