Select Team Sweden players at this year’s World Juniors tournament have been suspended from the 2019 World Juniors for a certain amount of games due to their unsportsmanlike misconduct regarding the silver medal presentation upon Team Swedens’ loss to Team Canada. Lias Andersson, who threw his silver medal into the crowd upon receiving it, is getting the majority of the brunt with a four-game suspension. The coach and assistant coach are suspended too. Axel Jonsson, Jesper Boqvist, Olle Eriksson Ek, and Rasmus Dahlin are suspended for two games.

A act off takiking away a silver medal isn’t disprespectful. I think that this is so wrong by the IIHF. Shouldn’t they suspend canada for diving. Thats unfair. Lias Andersson act was wrong ofc but that was one player. Rasmus Dahlin took the medal off! So what.
Funny thing is, no one of the players that got suspended was going to play in next years juniors(except maybe Olle )! So this was just a empty statement for easy morale points for the IIHF! Kinda pathetic
In response the Rangers have added 1 million dollars as a bonus for "being a player who accepts only the top award, not a participation pat on the back." they also added "wait what are we talking about? He's a pro now. And why did this guy who made this video repeat his opinion in a passionate intense way that indicated he cares more about this than even the people handing down punishment. A least they made their decision and finished talking about it in under 30 minutes….. Is he still talking…..? "

often like your videos, but this one is really bad. Throughout the whole video you were using emotional arguments but also putting words in the players mouths like "I´m more important than…". These are really vague arguments which you finish off by saying "And you cannot tell me that Im wrong." or "And you cannot argue with that".

Why does anyone even care, the Swedish players weren’t happy with 2nd place and i don’t know who would be happy Haply with 2nd place so why would they want to keep a souvenir of losing an important game? The way I see it those players are just competitors and we’re not happy with second place and I’d do the same
In European soccer players immediately rip off their 2nd place (loser) medals and even the managers rip them off immediately and throw them to the stands and no one cares because we all get that no one wants to come in 2nd place and much less keep a memory or losing a big game

He original incident was bad publicity, that’s why they were suspended. It’s a bad look for the IIHF
I didn’t watch the entire video but I hope you’re being sarcastic because I lost a lot of respect, taking off a medal = a suspension bullshit, throwing a medal into the stands not cool don’t do that, but just taking a medal off should not be a crime and I think you shouldn’t be forced to wear something you don’t want to it’s a free country iihf are looking for some publicity and I can’t believe you think it’s so horrible

It's an interesting topic. When you get second place in anything and keep the medal, it's a reminder that you didn't win, that you didn't didn't try hard enough. And then you remember how disappointed you were coming second place. But it's quite an accomplishment. That's my experience with it all anyway.
More interesting how IIHF would have dealt with same issue if it was the divers from Canada whom made the same thing. An official excuse from IIHF saying they didnt do enough to make sure canada won and a guarantee of victory nex wc? The way IIHF is protecting canada is disrespectful to all other teams. This said, players of Sweden, grow up and and accept it, and give them hell 2019.
