No way in hell. Laffy without a doubt will go 1st overall. I'm a goalie myself and would LOVE to see another goaltender be the 1st overall pick… but I don't think this is the guy. Unless someone bursts onto the scene with Sorokin-like stats, I don't think we'll be seeing another goalie go 1st overall for another few years.
GMs mess up pick 3-10 all the time. Example rants went 10 even tho he was best euro and a top 5 all rank. Still got passed up by 9GMs and look at his big Finnish ass now he's the man. My point is this dude is considered a top 5 maybe 1 or 2 there's a Damn reason. Goalies gst shelled in the draft for no reason. Have some balls Tampa did lol just making a point that goalies do hold great value in the draft.

That I guess would depend on who gets it. There needs etc…. that's tough its rare they even go in top10 even first round based on that I'd say no if there's a comparable forward and Dman that's 1st overall not saying first round though.

I don’t think he’ll go 1st because there’s more risk with goalies. A lot of the time good goalies don’t pan out so if you get the first overall pick I wouldn’t blow it on someone who could be good. Lafrenière is a much safer pick.

Lafreniere is overrated in my opinion. Huge talent but he´s not even in Matthews or Kakkos level when they got drafted. I just can´t se Lafreniere dominate mens WC in his draft year, like Matthews and especially Kakko did. Do i think he is number one? Probably, but still, if he would have another nationality than canadian or american he would not get the same hype. Dahlin was a bigger prospect as well, and i don´t even believe Lafreniere will have a better career than Dahlin, Heiskanen, Matthews or Kakko.
